HAVE MERCY ON ME, O LORD!
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*HAVE MERCY ON ME, O LORD!*
Ecclesiastes 9:11 *I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Atimes, in life, the best is not always the winner, but in Christ, He will not elude you from receiving the best. Trust in Him
Ps 55:22 *"....and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."*
Jesus taught about time and its essence in the fulfillment of His plans and purposes but not about chances. God’s fulfillment of His purpose for mankind is at the fullness of time, John 9:4, Gal 4:4.
We must always remember that God is in charge of all outcomes, not by any forces but by His certain will.
Solomon, however, talked about oddities of life (chance) that often result in luck (good or bad) i:e the notion of being "at the right place at the right time")
We do see this in major sports competitions like football (soccer) and other track and field events. It is often seen that the best does not always end up winning the major championship trophies.
Favorites to win are often defeated by teams, pundits called the "dark horses"
The dark horse often becomes the giant killer. Little is known about "dark horses," but they unexpectedly win over top and favorite teams known as giants in the game.
When you are favorite to win, the tragedy of losing the game is one of the things that makes it unforgettable.
The world is a competitive place.
Chance has won more championships than skills, fair play, and hard work.
Time and chances that give victory to the least expected over the more hardworking and favorite is what makes life unpredictably unfair.
This is why we need God on our side.
He can overule chances that often fall unfairly to people who are not supposed to
win over you.
What God can do for you is not dependent on whether you are strong or weak, qualified or unqualified.
He can follow any order He wishes, and you can be sure what belongs to you can never be taken over by any other person.
Chance or luck will be taken over by Divine favor and mercy.
God’s mercy is reliable. Odds, chances are not. They may come once in a lifetime, but God’s mercy endures forever, Ps 136.
His mercy picks you up in your very state and can qualify the qualified and also qualify the unqualified!
He makes ordinary people extraordinary.
He makes great greater.
Abraham was great, Isaac was greater, and Jacob became greatest into a nation called Israel.
Do not let chance in the hands of the odds rob you of life.
Trust Christ, He will secure you and give you a deserved win that chance of others will not rob you of.
Let it be of Your mercy to me. Have mercy on me, O LORD.
People take chances and risks and often end up either made or marred. There is no risk or chance with Christ, He is perfect in all ways.
Matt 5:48 *Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.*
*Call to Word action.*
Your life is in God's hands, not in odds.
Daniel 4:17 *This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Compare Solomon"s Eccl 9: 11 with Rom 9:16. It's almost the same contents, but Solomon ends up saying ,*"....time and chance..."* while Paul ends up saying it is *"....of God that sheweth mercy."*
Lord, let me prevail in life, show me mercy. Let not chance rob me of my victory in life, in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.
God bless you.
