GOD (8)
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*GOD (8)*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Col 1:16-20 *For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:*
*And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Deut 32:39 *See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.*
*Scripture Commentaries.*
In Christ, all things consist. Nothing happens without His knowledge and approval, Matt 10:13-19.
Those who do not believe in the existence of God would at least believe that people die every day just as their own existence will cease one day.
Today, we will further look at five reasons that should help atheists and other forms of unbelievers behind various theories to desist from doubting the existence of God.
First, if people do not believe God exists, at least they should believe that people are born just as God said it in the book of Genesis.
In Gen 1:28, God blessed the human race saying *....Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:...* ref Eccl 3: *.....A time to be born, and a time to die;....*
Along with it came dominion over
*.....the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.*, Gen 1:28.
As we have it today, no matter how bad things may be, humans are leaders, rulers, presidents, not animals or fishes, etc.
Second is that those who do not believe in God, in addition to believing people are born, would at least also believe that people die. People die because God said they will die, Gen 3:19 *.....for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.*
Third, as strange and fierce as the animal kingdom may be to us, people who do not believe God would at least believe that serpents crawl on their belly just the way God said it, Gen 3:14.
Fourth, why is the sun, the moon, and the stars, and they all come out at their time? Who places them in order?
Why is their order in their operations
and they shine in seven days uninterrupted as God has said it?
Isaiah 30:26 *Moreover, the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day.....*
God said they would not cease to function at their times, and there has never been a day of confusion!
One may say there are times there are eclipse of the sun or moon. What often results in the eclipse of the sun and the moon are all still activities and functions of the same sun and moon.
Fifth, God controls times and seasons
Genesis 8:22 *While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.*
Also, Daniel 2:21-23 gives credence to God's direct and exclusive control over tines and seasons.
If these and many other innumerable and uncountables happen, why do you still contend God?
Let us fear God who established His *....covenant with the day and the night and the fixed order of heaven and earth,...* Jeremiah 33:25.
Psalm 147:4 *He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.*
God asked Job in Job 38:4 *Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.*, Job 37-40..
Job could not give an answer, but he said in Job 40: 4-5 *Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.*
*Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.*
Why do you still contend God?
*Remorse corner.*
Job 40: 9 *Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?*
*Call to Word action.*
God controls not only humans but also the animal kingdom. Their food is where all the other beasts of the field play
Job 40: 20 *Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Ps 86:9 *All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.*
*Prayer.*
Let all people of all nations bow to You, O LORD, in Jesus name.
Good morning, all, and be blessed as you go today.
God bless you.
