Scripture Treasure.John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Insight and Highlight.Faith, on its own, does save.
Scripture Commentaries.Jesus, in His earthly ministry, prepared us for the apostacy to come. Phillip was one of the disciples. As the case may be for the other disciples, Phillip did not know the way, yet he and others were walking with Jesus, the way, the truth, and the life, John 14:6.Phillip's works were not mixed with faith.Jesus requires that we see more than we see visibly and hear more than we hear visibly. The problem with people who do not know the way or who do not accept the existence of God is the lack of the transforming power of God to activate their faith.Today, we will look further at reasons that could help atheists to desist from rejecting the existence of God.We will mention one today.Since no man can see God and live, God gave man the gift of faith through which we may know Him.This is why Heb 11:6 says, "....he that cometh to God must believe that he is,...",.Heb 11:6.Therefore, by giving us this gift, we believe by faith that He is who He says He is, so our belief in God teaches us that faith alone saves.Eph 2:8 tells us For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Paul is saying that whosoever believes in God is gifted with faith. This tells us the power of faith.To believe the unbelievable is a product of the gift of faith.To believe in God whom you can not see is truly ".....a gift of God..."This is because rather than look for the proof of where you can see God or where He dwells, all the evidence you need is ".....the evidence of things not seen.", Heb 11:1.While some people are seeking for the proof of the existence of God, the faith believer is more than satisfied with the existence of God by just believing.God sees the need for the gift of faith because He knows our frame as sinful people and that people do not believe in what they can not see.Some people do not even believe in themselves how much God.Jesus says, "......Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me., John 14:1.Phillip and other disciples had not experienced the power of the risen Christ, so it may be possible for them not to know until they experienced the redemptive power through the blood shed on the cross.This is the position of the aithest, idolaters, and other unbelievers.The gift of faith is available for you as an unbeliever if you surrender yourself to Christ.The gift of faith helps you to see the invisible through the eyes of faith.Jesus says in John 12:45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.Those who reject God can not have peace because they do not have the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.They may claim to have peace, but they do not.God loves you. He can give you that much needed peace today.You need it to have peace with God, Rom 5:1.Jesus is the ....image of the invisible God, Col 1:15.If you accept Him today, He will reveal God whom you have never thought existed to you!Please repent and come to Jesus today.

Call to Word action.You may claim to have peace, but you can not have it outside God. Only the faith in Christ can give peace.Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
The Christian clarion duty.Let those who reject God know that they need to be saved from their line of thought. They need the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Prayer.Let those who say there is no God proclaim today that they need Christ the Saviour, in Jesus name.
