*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*GOD (4).*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Exd 3:13-14
*And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them,* *The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me,* *What is his name? what shall I say unto them?*
*And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Isaiah 43:11 *I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.*
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Moses, after God had revealed Himself to him as God, still asked God who he should tell the Hebrew people had sent him to them, Exd 3:6, 13-14.
In Exd 3:6, it is recorded that *".....Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.*
God is overwhelming, and He overwhelms us to believe the unbelievable.
Moses yielded to God, but not all people do.
Today, we will look further at reasons that could help atheists to desist from rejecting the existence of God.
We will mention one today.
The atheist is stone hearted.
Many of them had heard the word of God but did not yield.
God offers the privilege of visiting the most stony hearted Ezk 36:26.
He gives people, like the atheist, a divine visitation because God does not want him/her to go to hell, 2 Pet 3:9.
The love of God, as recorded here by the Apostle Peter, may be telling us that there will hardly be anyone whom God will not pay a visit for the purpose of converting him/her.
People, either atheist or idolaters, who die without Christ, may have died unconverted not because the Holy Spirit did not reach out to them but because they refused Him. This is why they did not receive forgiveness, It Is another form of blasphemy to refuse the free gift of salvation (ref Matt 12:31).
God may choose to visit them knowing they are not willing to listen to any human being, Act 9.
Jesus said in John 4:48 *".....Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.*
Here, Jesus was saying that the people will believe the unbelievable when they see signs and wonders.
Moses saw the unbelievable that navigated him to believe God. By acknowledging God in the burning bush, he believed the unbelievable sight of the *".....bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed."* Exd 3:2.
Many of us, if not all, were drawn to God as unbelievers, and we became believers by what we saw.
Our testimonies became *O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him."*, Psalm 34:8.
God is willing to make an atheist, a believer. He will begin to believe what he had never believed or had always rejected about God.
When God visits you as an unbeliever, do not resist, or else, you will learn the hard way.
Today, there are once committed atheist who are now Christians.
You can be converted to Christ, too.
Do not lose His free gift of salvation.
*Remorse corner.*
Pharaoh refused God. He learned the hard way!
Rom 9: 17 *For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.*
*Call to Word action.*
God is willing to give you a new heart.
Ezk 36:26 *A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
2 Tim 4:2 *Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.*
*Prayer.*
Lord, let every stony heart be turned to a heart of flesh. Let them be responsive to God, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
