*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*FULFILLED EXPECTATIONS.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Prov 23:18: *For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Jeremiah 29:11 *For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*

It is God's will that our expectations be fulfilled.

Year and year out, we have expectations.

Oftentimes, every year becomes an extension of our expectations. We often have problems with carry overs. We say to ourselves, "This thing has been on since last year or before."

lf this is your conclusion, you are not alone.

What we all need to know, however, is that 'carry-overs' are not 'carry-ons', 'carry-ons' are not 'carry-for-ever'. Believe your expectations will become 'crossovers'. Believe you will cross over them.

When your expectations become crossover, it attains fullfilment and success.

Every delayed expectation must drop some time along the line. So, our expectations must attain fulfillment one day. This is because God said so. He says, *"For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.*

In other words, God is saying there is always an end to whatever starts.

This may seem too familiar with some of us who claim people just cite this to console others. Whichever word you decide to use, consolation, comfort, encouragement, etc, all are still God's plan towards fulfilling expectations.

However, to better understand Prov 23:18, we must also look at the preceeding verse.

Prov 23:17 says *Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long.*

You can not be either here or there with God. You can not be lukewarm or follow the ways of sinners and expect fulfillment of your expectations.

It is not possible. You must make up your mind to fear God!

If you fear God but your expectations are not yet fulfilled, Prov 23:19 says

*Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way.*

In other words, be wise enough to continue to guide your heart in God's way. Do not waiver, He will hear you.

Proverbs 23:20 says *Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh:*

In other words, do not join haters of God: sinners!

If you obey these words, your expectations shall be fulfilled.

*Remorse corner.*

This year, make sure your expectations are right with God.

Proverbs 10:28 *The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.*

*Call to Word action.*

If your expectations are right with God, He will *....give you an expected end.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

If your expectations are right with God, He says His inner most being will rejoice because you have spoken what is right.

Prov 23:15-16 *My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.*

*Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.*

*Prayer.*

Lord, please fulfill my expectations this year in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and welcome to our year of *FULFILLED EXPECTATIONS.*

Happy New Year 2024!

Be blessed as you go today in Jesus name

God bless you.
