WISDOM FOR TODAY.

FROM BREAKDOWN TO BREAKTHROUGH (2)

Scripture Treasure.

Acts 19:20 So the word of the Lord powerfully continued to spread and prevail.

Insight and Highlight.

In every breakdown, there is a breakthrough if we break forth.

Scripture Commentaries.

When Saul and his co-sinister conspirators savaged the Church with their persecution, there must have been widespread confusion in Jerusalem.

First, Saul's bitterness against the Church was first recorded at the scene of the killing of Stephen.

Secondly, Act 9 records that after the brutal killing of Stephen, Saul remained more dangerous, seeking a higher power to destroy the Church more.

Acts 9:1 says, "And Saul yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

As Saul was heading for Damascus to obtain authority to arrest, kill, and bound many of Christ's followers as prisoners, God saw a situation that needed His quick intervention.

Acts 9: 2 says And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

What happened next was one of the most confrontational encounters between God and a mortal.

Christ's encounter with Saul on his way to Damascus remains unmatched in biblical salvation history.

It was a transformation, and it changed the face of history for the Church.

We are without persecution, tribulation, and with it we will enter the Kingdom of God

Acts 14:22 .....confirming the souls of the disciples and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Saul was to reap what he sowed in a way. Christ told Ananais about the converted Saul, now Paul, implying in Acts 9:5 that it was now time for payback. Saul had made people suffer for the gospel, so He would show Saul .....how much he must suffer.... for His name.

Not that Christ was asking for a pound flesh or to revenge how much havock

Saul did to the Church. It was a way of telling Saul how closely evil tends to resist the gospel of Christ and how evil will resist him also in propagating the gospel of Christ.

Saul indeed saw what evil he did against the Church, and he concluded he had been the chiefest of sinners.

1 Tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Many had died like Stephen, the disciples, the apostles, and are still dying through persecutions, but they are not dead but asleep, 1 Thess 4:14.

They have crowns and a place in Heaven, Heb 11, Rev 3:4-5.

Does the world seem crumbling down on you as a righteous man before God?

Here on earth, be confident that the same God will make you stand before Kings and not mean men!

In Heaven, you will be with Him forever.

Remorse corner.

God sees all the struggles of His righteous Church.

Call to Word action.

The persecution has not stopped the Church of God it has only strengthened it.

Acts 6:7 So the word of God continued to spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem grew rapidly, and a great number of priests became obedient to the faith.

The Christian clarion duty.

James was matryed, but Peter was set free. Whichever way, God wins!

Prayer.

Lord, whichever way the enemy strikes the Church, let not the gate of hell prevail against it, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
