*Scripture Treasure.*

Psalm 69:9 ►🔹 *For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.*🔹

*Insight and Highlight*

We must be willing to do all we can do to achieve the highest moral, purity, restoration standard for God's Kingdom, even if it leads to our reproaches and insults.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Do you ever wonder how God feels when He is reproached by children of men?

Do you identify with His reproaches or feel unconcerned?

The zeal to attain the best for Christ must consume us.

We must be consumed by the love and desire to build, propagate God's work and war against every gate of hell militating against the Kingdom of God.

Reproaches, disappointment that may come as a result of our zeal must never wear us out. We must wear them down.

Romans 15:3 ►🔹 *For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.*🔹

David in our Scripture of today illustrates his dilemma that every reproach uttered against God was as keenly felt by him as if it had been directed against himself, or that, when men reproached him, they really meant to reproach God.

David was zealous for God but in his zeal he suffered reproaches and disappointments.

First, in his strive to bring the ark to Jerusalem, he was reviled by Michal the daughter of Saul, 2 Sam 6:12.

Second, he desired to build a house for God, but God refused him, 2 Sam 7:1-16.

Paul suffered distresses in his zeal to please God. He, and others, were🔹 *"....troubled on every side,...perplexed and persecuted..."*, 2 Cor 4:8-9.

The reproaches of them that reproached God fell upon him.

They felt for God and identified with Him in the reproaches labeled against Him: Psalm 69:9 ►🔹 *"....the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.*🔹

God's enemies will reproach us over God's assignments. They will revile you for giving to God, over your commitment and dedication. They do these because the word of God is not in them.

Zeal with knowledge helps you to overcome reproaches, disappointment associated with serving God.

Christ prepared Paul for what he should expect in ministry. Christ gave him knowledge so he was able to overcome what he suffered while serving God,

Acts 9:16 ►🔹 *For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.*🔹

Your zeal, with knowledge, will determine how well you feel towards God.

Do you care less or care more about how God feels?

Keep the fire on, do not let challenges wear you or your zeal out!

*Remorse corner*

Stand up for Jesus against all His enemies.

Psalm 119:139 ►🔹 *My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.*🔹

*Call to Word action.*

Jesus' fierce indignation against those who turned His Father's house into a market place was His zeal to cleanse His temple (ref 1 Cor 3:16), encourage a pure heart that is void of "illegal occupation", This we must do, if we want to receive in His presence, ref John 2:16-17.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Deal with every sin that easily beset you. Let God see you do the needful so that the purpose of God is fully attained. Let your love for Christ come before your convenience and pleasure.

Lord, help me to fix and focus on you. Let me please you.

Help me to successfully execute all Kingdom work given me. I must overcome every obstacle, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
