*ETERNITY IS LONGER THAN INTERNITY (2)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Gen 3:22 *And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Phil 1:21 *For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*

God has given us life to enjoy, Eccl 5:19-20.

He wants us to be Heavenly minded but not earthly useless.

You will not die now or before your time.

Christ knows you have an expectation, and He will give it to you in Jesus name.

Every believer must know there is a greater than life after this life.

The only way we can get there is through death.

Everything corruptible of this world must be done away with if we are going to be with God forever, 1 Cor 15:53.

God drove Adam and Eve from Eden so that they would not live forever.

God's action and decree meant that death was not only common to the wicked. It is also appointed for the believer. God will not keep some people here endlessly while He takes others away. He is just and fair to all.

Rom 3:23 does not blame Adam and Eve alone. Paul says ,*"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;*

Everyone is accountable for his/her sin. Though it started from Adam, people still fail to resist sin. They must pay for their disobedience. The punishment of death must come. Wages of sin is death, Rom 6:23.

However, the believer is secure, though physical death will come.

As a result of what God did, death may be seen as gain just as the Apostle Paul said in Philpn 1:21.

How?

First, God has used death to end all our sorrows and pains and to give the believer eternal rest rather than eternal damnation.

The life we will live with God will be longer, and it will go beyond the joy and ecstacy of this world. The beauty of this world made by human hands can never be compared to a city made by God, ref Heb11:10.

Second, God may take away or allow a faithful vessel to die in order to prevent his/her eventual fall away from Christ.

Isaiah 57:1 *The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.*

Isaiah says no one can understand why God does this. This tells us the righteous may be taken away when no one expects because God knows the beginning from the end and the end from the beginning.

The manner of their passing may be fatal and tragic and may be pathetic. Isaiah says ,*"The righteous perisheth....."*

Death, as painful as it is, when it comes is gain to the believer. It is God's way of choosing who will be with Him eternally forever.

Though it serves as a punishment, it is a way for the believer in Christ to be with God forever. This is what makes it gain because we will be with God. No more pain, no more sorrow, etc. Rev 21:4.

Paul made it simpler and encouraging, saying the believer rather than die is one who *"..sleep in Jesus..."*, 1 Thess 4:14.

There is nothing here that is enormously greater and more precious than eternity with God.

Death has no power over you, 1 Cor 15:55.

You will live to fulfill God's purpose in this life, in Jesus name.

Do not allow the cares of this world to make you lose eternity with God.

This life and its beauty will fade away, Matt 24:35 1 John 2:17.

Do not lose eternal life with Christ.

Remember, always, eternity is longer than internity!

*Remorse corner.*

The same death God ordained because of sins, He conquered, that we may be victorious. Remember, wherever there is death, there is a resurrection.

*Call to Word action.*

Rev 1:18 *l am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Death, though painful to us, is not harsh as we see it. God sees it differently.

Ps 116: 15 *Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.*

*Prayer.*

Lord, do not let me be left behind or be missing in the Eternal Kingdom with You, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
