DO YOU WARM HEARTS OR WORM THEM?

WISDOM FOR TODAY.

DO YOU WARM HEARTS OR WORM THEM?

Scripture Treasure.

2 Sam 15:6 And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

Insight and Highlight.

Absalom stole the people's heart, but he was not the Lord's anointed.

Scripture Commentaries.

Absalom stole the hearts of the people of Israel.

By his witting deceitful persuasions, but unknown to the people, he caused the people to feel love or affection

He was David, the king's son. He wanted the throne so the hearts meant for David, he stole.

The people's whose hearts he stole defected from David to Absalom's camp, 2.Ssm 15:11-12.

By joining Absalom, they ended on the wrong side, on the wrong side of God, and got killed.

The people got to know later that, rather than Absalom warming their hearts, he was deceitfully worming his way into their heart for the selfish reason of taking the throne from his father.

When you warm the hearts of people, you give them pleasant feelings, and they are always happy to see you.

A warm-hearted person will touch people's hearts.

A worm-hearted person will wriggle his way into people's hearts and emotions in a dishonest way in order to secure their confidence and affection.

People like Absalom will do anything for as long as they desire your favor.

Once what they want from you is achieved, they abandon you.

If not, how could a boy so loved by his father be his father arch enemy? (2 Sam 18:33).

They worm themselves into your affections without you ever suspecting.

There are people who worm themselves into desired positions (ref 1 Kgs 1:9)

People who worm themselves to desired positions are always doing it in a gradual way, just like a worm would crawl.

Just as a worm will crawl and wriggle without being heard, so also a person who worms himself into a person's heart is not known or detected for a long time.

Worm-hearted people destroy future opportunities with men and God.

The same people that would poled Absalom's hair (2 Sam 14:25-26) later abandoned him, and Joab, who was his father's chief of army, killed him. God himself was against Absalom. He suffered a gruesome death , 2 Sam 18:14).

Worm-hearted people are superficial. They exploit simplicity and gullibiility, but not so fast, God catches up on them.

Do you deceive by warming people's hearts?

You can not hide forever.

It will eventually be known if you had actually warmed hearts or wormed your way into their hearts. It is a matter of time.

People relate with you based on trust. Keep it this way. Warm their hearts, do not worm it.

The third, beautiful, and most loved of David's sons was tragic and a failure.

Remember, if you have deceived children of men, you can not deceive God. He will repay and get revenge!

Remorse corner.

Do not prey on people's simplicity or their gullibility. You will lose with God. Shun deception.

Call to Word action.

Absalom did not afford God an opportunity to choose a living heir after David. God had to choose an heir before he was born, l Chron 22:9.

The Christian clarion duty.

Worm-hearted people jeopardize other's opportunities for favor.

The Christian clarion duty.

Be warm-hearted, not worm-hearted.

Shun deception!

Prayer.

Help me to warm people's hearts.

Let me not deceive in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
