*DO YOU PRAY?*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Matthew 6:5 *And when thou prayest,.....*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Praying for you or asking to be prayed for should not replace your praying for yourself.
*Scripture Treasure.*
Do you pray yourself, or do you just rely on people to pray for you?
The bible encourages that we pray for one another, James 5:14-16.
Moses, Samuel, Daniel, etc, were great intercessors of their time.
Ezekiel 14:14 tells us of Noah, Daniel, and Job.
It says *Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God.*
We can learn the following from this passage.
First, you do not join to pray for others unless you are righteous.
Second. When you join a prayer dept of your local church, praying for the people and the church, you could be praying for yourself and delivering your own soul. God said these three vessels will only *...deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God.*
Third, people who are prayed for must also pray for themselves. This verse tells us that you can not be delivered by the righteousness of your prayer partner or warrior.
Though the righteous man may pray for you, God still demands your righteousness.
So no one's righteousness is able to deliver you if God says you are unrighteous.
It is important that though prayers are offered on our behalf, we must also pray to deliver ourselves.
Financing prayer or prayer warriors for yourself is not the solution to your unanswered prayers.
You can not continue in sin and expect grace to abound, Rom 6:1-2.
The bible teaches that the call for prayer is individualistic, though general.
Luke 18:1 makes it a command and general one saying *.....that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;...*
This means all mankind.
Jesus makes it a call to all individuals in Matt 6:5 *....and when you pray...*
1 Thes 5:17 says *Pray without ceasing.*
Do you pray?
Have you prayed today?
*Remorse corner.*
Those who pray for you play an important role in your life, but they can not replace you in the place of praying for yourself
*Call to Word action.*
God wants to hear from you.
Isaiah 55:6 *Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:*
*The Christian clarion duty.,*
