DO YOU HAVE FAITH?

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*DO YOU HAVE FAITH?*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Romans 10:17 *“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”*

*Insight and Highlight.*

If you want to have faith, listen to the word of God with all your heart.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

God has made the universe a university.

We could learn from anything we hear, see, or do. These things could translate to a word for our lives when the power of God backs them.

There are people who will not heed God's message through evangelism, preaching from the pulpit. Paul says in Romans 10:17 that their faith can be strengthened through the things they hear.

The words they hear will establish or rekindle their faith in any way, especially in time of trouble.

Paul's word teaches us that acquiring faith by what we hear is one of the potent inroads to anyone's soul.

No one should play with hearing and listening.

People fail to believe because they fail to hear. He asked the question, *"Who has believed our report?"* (Rom 10:16).

To 'hear' is used here as an active act of listening, heeding, and doing as commanded.

Jesus Christ used the word 'hear' seven times in the book of Revelation in His letter to the seven churches when He said *He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;*

Paul was sure the Romans had heard the word of God but were behaving as if they had not heard.

He asked in Rom 10:18 *But I say, Have they not heard? Yes, verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.*

So why do people who are expected to hear be as if they had not heard?

This is because what they hear is not mixed with faith.

Hebrews 4:2 tells us that when the words of God preached are not mixed with faith, it will not profit us.

*For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.*

If you are struggling with faith, Paul says when you hear the word of God, your faith should receive life. This is because you need the faith to become profitable.

He was writing from his spiritual experience. The moment he heard the word of God, he knew it was not ordinary.

In Acts 9:5, *"And he said, Who art thou, Lord?*

He knew the voice was supernatural, and it looked from his statement that he did not know who was speaking, but he knew it was the Lord. Jesus identified Himself, and immediately, a faith in the Lord came upon him.

His faith was birthed by the voice he heard.

God should not speak for anyone not to hear unless he/she chooses not to respect the voice.

His word will always lighten up. It does not come without fulfilling something, Isaiah 55:11.

Do you lack faith?

Listen to the word of God. When you do with all your heart, your faith will come alive!
