1 Samuel 28:7 *Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Imagine our God so safe, yet you have to persuade people to accept Him and a devil so evil, yet people go to him with little or no persuasion.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Saul sought for the witch of Endor uninvited. We do not know how far he and his men traveled to Endor.
Near or far, he had gone beyond his own set boundaries.
Immediately after the death of Samuel,
1 Sam 28:3 says *......And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.*
Saul later told his servants to seek him a familiar spirit that he may consult.
Isaiah 18:19 says, *"When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?*
How could Saul, having chased out all the familiar spirits and wizards out of the land, go back to seek the same spirits?
His story goes to explain how most times, people go to the devil, and they go to him more than they come to God. They fear and obey gods more than they obey God.
King Saul's moral principle and spiritual zeal soon vanished because he was desperate of what would happen to him rather than wait on God for it to happen
Besides his servants, no one could tell it was Saul when he went to the witch of Endor because he *... disguised himself by putting on different clothes,....."* and he went in the night, 1 Sam 28:8.
The lives of uncontrolled desperate humans are so bad that those who claim to worship God, who go into His Church, also go to the devil. Hardly, however, will you hear or see a staunch idol worshipper, sorcerer, or soothsayer go to church regularly or even seldomnly.
They hardly mix their beliefs. It is either Satan or nothing else.
They do not compromise their allegiance to Satan.
This is why they are able to consolidate their tentacles of control over many of their victims. They are not divided against themselves, ref Matt 12:25, Acts 23:12
They are united not in love but to achieve a common purpose, to kill, steal, and destroy, John 10:10.
If only believers would be united with their God.
If you claim to be a child of God, you have no business with any form of witchcraft.
If you are involved with any spirit other than the Spirit of God, you are not a child of God. You may say you do not go into their company to worship their idols, but any form of contribution, sacrifice, and festivities from you is an endorsement of their idolatry.
You become a partaker of their sins, ref Eph 5:7.
What have you got to do with idols?
Lev 20:6 *And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.*
Idolatry is rebellion against God
God is angry with any form of idolatry, Exd 20:3-5, ref 1 Sam 15: 23, Rev 3:15-16.
The Spirit is enough for you!

Leviticus 19:31 *You must not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out, or you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.*

I will never worship man-made God, in Jesus name.
