*DO NOT GIVE ROOM TO SATAN.(6)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Gen 4:7 *lf thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him..*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Jesus stands at the door. Satan and sin lie at the door

*Scripture Commentaries.*

While Jesus stands at the door of of our hearts and calls as He knocks waiting for those who will hear His voice and open, sin lies at the door waiting for the opportunity to come into our hearts.

John says in Rev 3:20 *Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.*

However in Gen 4:7, God told Cain sin's desire was to have Cain, reign over him and subdue him but Cain must overpower it.

This means he has the choice to master his sinful desires or he would be mastered by them.

We have the choice to master, overpower, subdue our sinful desires rather than be mastered by them.

Sin gains free access without seeking access. It is automatically in control once we enter into it.

Jesus seeks a willing heart and makes a peaceful entrance into a submissive heart.

Sin enters forcefully having stalked his intended victim, waiting for a vulnerable moment to strike ref Matt 13:25.

If a person refuses to open to Jesus, Jesus would not enter and He would go elsewhere. He will not forever keep knocking.

Sin however, stays at the door of a person heart trying to take dominion. It becomes a powerful negative force and would not give up until its desire over a person is achieved.

Jesus comes to sup and fellowship with a willing heart whereas sin comes in, not to fellowship but to totally destroy a once-happy and joyful life or home.

Paul describes the control of sin over a person as a 'reign' and uses 'reign' in righteousness to illustrate the power of dominion over a person to mean 'dominion', 'rulership'.

Rom.5:21 says *That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.*

Whosoever is under either is a "servant' to sin or righteousness, Rom 6:16.

Peter describes Satan as a restless lion, going about looking for whom to devour, 1 Pet 5:8.

Do not make the doorstep of your heart a place for Satan and sin to ambush or hide.

*Remorse corner.*

If you allow Jesus, who is knocking at your door, to come in, He will rearrange, make perfect and permanently live with you.

*Call to Word action.*

Do not open the door of your heart to Satan. Open it to the One who is the door. Jesus is the door. The only way to God! John 10:7-10.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

If you allow sin, crouching at your door hoping to come in, it will destroy a lifelong investment, joy and peace of your life.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me. Keep Satan away from the door of my heart and life in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

Shalom.
