*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*DO NOT BE WICKED! (5)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Matt 6:34 *Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

There is an evil for everyday but you do not have to be the evil.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Jesus tells us that every day has its evil, Matt 6:34 but we do not have to be a source, perpetrator etc of such evil.

It is important that we understand Jesus's statement that while evil has a role to play everyday, good is rarely apportioned a role. All we can get from God, which is most important, is an admonition and an assurance not to fear, take thought of it or be anxious about it, Matt 6:34.

For with God there is a solution to every fear.

No matter what evil is sufficient for the day God is more sufficient

lsaiah 3:10 says *Say ye to the righteous that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.*

We must daily equip ourselves with the word of God and seek His protection.

Evil is so desperate that it happens even in the slightest unexpected way or in the most secured place that no one would ever expect it to happen.

lsaiah 57:6 says *Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:*

Paul tells us in 1 Tim 6:10 that the foundation of all evil is money. He adds the works of the flesh as contributory sources of evil.

Looking at the works of the flesh there is not one of them that does not find its motivation from the want or need for money.

Anyone who is wicked is telling God that His words against wickedness is not true.

Though Paul's writing in Rom 1:21-32 addresses Sodom, lesbianism, homosexuality and all sexual and gender abuses it still goes to tell us that people

*"......changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen."* Rom 1:25.

Most idols are carved after the image of an animal and people bow to them in order to fulfill their wickedness. Given this it may not be surprising that people who follow them can not live in the image and character of God.

The psalmist says in Psalm 115:3 *They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.*

Human wickedness became like that of animals.

They ate their own children and humans like themselves just like animals eat themselves, ref 2 Kgs 6:28.

They kill each other out of hatred just like animal kill themselves.

1 John 3:15 says *Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.*

Why would your behaviour be likened to a an animal talkless of its wild nature?

Shun wickedness.

Make someone's day by good doings.

Eph 4:3 says *"...Neither give place to the devil.*

The more good you do, the less place is available for evil.

Shun evil!

*Remorse corner.*

Wickedness has turned the world to a 'dogs eat dogs' situation.Humans have lived with a compulsive behaviour to harm or kill each other.

*Call to Word action.*

Mk 12:31 *Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

1 John 4:20 *If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?*

*Prayer.*

Lord let me love rather than hate. Let wickedness be far from me, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

Shalom.
