DETERMINANTS OF ANOINTING (4)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY*

*DETERMINANTS OF ANOINTING (4)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

1 Cor 4:20 *For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Eloquence and a moving or convincing oration are not proof of the presence of an anointing.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

While the ability to express message is of vital importance, if it does not have the demonstration of the Spirit's power, it will be mere persuasive words.

Paul says in 1 Cor 2:4 *My message and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power,*

No matter how well spoken, crispy our words and pronunciations are, they will be of no effect enough to subdue the devil without the Spirit.

The same goes with gesticulating and any form of impressing or provoking attention of the people from the pulpit. No matter what or where any of these may be or employed, if any of them does not have a transforming effect in corroboration with the authority of Christ's signs and power of the Spirit, it will amount to nothing!

The Spirit's transforming power in a message is not dependent on how long or short but on the power of God present in the message.

In other words, as much as a five-minute message could transform when the power of God is present, so also is the transformative power of any longer message as the case may be.

Peter preached in Acts 2:41, and the people *....gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.*

Though the Spirit can operate independently of anyone or thing, Acts 2:41 is slso telling us that attentiveness and listenership cooperate to make the power behind a word quickly transformative.

God backs the word of His anointed with power, but it is also important that you are willing to accept for the anointing to work faster on you.

God is willing to release His power through His living word, listen, and prepare your mind.

Are you willing to receive the anointing?

*Remorse corner.*

Anointing is power.

*Call to Word action.*

1 Thes 1:5 *For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Ask for power. Nothing can resist the power of the anointing.

*Prayer.*

Lord anoint me with power, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and be blessed as you come into His presence today.

God bless you.
