DETERMINANTS OF ANOINTING (2)
Scripture Treasure.
Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
Insight and Highlight.
Lack of adequate education, little or none of it may not mean a lack of anointing.
Scripture Commentaries.
While education is important, absence of it may not mean a lack of God's anointing upon His vessel.
Education has its place and must never be undermined.
Even Jesus learnt knowledge through education. Luke 2:46-47 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
There should never be any admonition against education. If you think education is expensive or painstaking, try ignorance. God is an advocate of sound education.
We see therefore that, when there are enough provisions made by God to provide enough education, neglecting to make use of it may not allow God to do what He wants to do in one's life.
Solomon says, "....fools hate knowledge... Prov 1:22.
If, however, God sees your background as an underprivileged, He could use and turn you to the privileged and provide the wisdom you need in order to manifest knowledge (ref 1 Kgs 3:9,
Jam 1:5.
Peter and John were perceived to be ...unlearned and ignorant men... yet they carried the power of God.
There was, however, the presence of God that made a difference, and the people who saw them saw the anointing in them.
We see here that while God tells us the importance of education, those who lack it are not outside God's will, plan, and purpose.
Their anointing is God-given, salient, and pure from above.
The state of art equipment has helped to propagate anointing. They have made it famous.
It must, however, be known that social media popularity and followership may not determine anointing and the vessel's acceptance from God.
Though the advent of social media has made an enormous impact in today's world and in the lives of God most powerful vessels it must be noted that the vessels of old who had lived without these inventions are not in any way lesser than today's anointed vessels.
We may also wish to know that as important as education is, it is not anointing, neither is knowledge or understanding.
So also, education is not wisdom, neither is knowledge and understanding.
Prov 4:7 says Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:....."
Paul had an education, but it did not provide the anointing he needed for the ministry. In fact, he counted all that that he had achieved as dung so that he may win Christ, Phil 3:8.
God is not a prisoner of His promises.
He gives as He wills.
The anointed may not be educated, but his anointing is good enough to educate anyone about God.
Believe God and believe in him.
Are you willing to receive anointing?
Remorse corner.
Education may be power. It does not determine anointing, and it is of no power without anointing
Prov 4:7b says ....and with all thy getting get understanding”
Call to Word action.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning..
The Christian clarion duty.
God is the giver of anointing irrespective of your background or achievements.
Prayer.
Lord anoint me as l seek knowledge.
Anoint me irrespective of my background, in Jesus name.
