*Scripture Treasure.*

Judges 16:4  *And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

There are attractions that lead to destructive consequences.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

There are habits, if uncontained, that could lead to destructive consequences.

At Samson's early stage in life, he had been showing some signs of lack of self control. He did not do anything to control his illicit relationships.

Refusing to deal with our weaknesses will weaken our resistance to fight them.

He adorned women of easy virtues,

In his letter to Timothy, the Apostle Paul's letter refers to these as *".....silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,*, 2 Tim 3:6.

They attracted Samson, Judges 14:2, 16:1, 4.

By his lack of self control, a man moved by the Spirit fell like a house of cards, Judg 13:25, 16: 20-31.

Samson's attractions got him distracted.

He will not defeat the Phillistines alive but in his death.

What you fail to control will come back to control you.

Samson's eyes that saw these women, were the very eyes that were plucked out, Judg 16:21.

Make up your mind.

Seek the Spirit's help.

Nip, that friendship with the world, in the bud before it gets over you!

*Remorse corner.*

What we fail to deal with, will end up dealing with us.

*Call to Word action.*

2 Pet 2:14-18 *Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:*

*Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Stop that bad habit by early action before it gets worse.

Lord, help me to control what l fail to control, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
