CO - LABORERS NOT CO- EQUAL(2)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*CO- LABORERS, NOT CO- EQUAL(2).*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Philippians 2:5-7 *Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:*

*Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:*

*But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:*

*Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:*

*Insight and Highlight.*

James 4:10 *Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*

When you see yourself as God, God will show His power to make nonsense of you, Exd 9:16, Rom 9:17.

No man is God and none should take the place of the Sovereign God, Is 40:18 says

*To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?*

We must be very careful that though we are made in the likeness of God we should in no way liken ourselves with Him, unless God Himself so specifically says so, Numb 12:1-8.

Scripture teaches that those who took the place of God were destroyed. Such people are deemed to have *"....not given the glory to God,...."*.

As was in the case of Herod, *"..... an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died, Lk 12:18-25.

However, there are things God does through Divine representations.

First, God can make "God" of a man.

Moses was referred to as *Moses the man of God,* Deut 33:1, Joshua 14:6.

Second, though no man should take the place of God but God can make *"....you like God...."* over someone's life.

A person's destiny can be determined and shaped by the words of such a man whom God has given such a divine mandate and authority.

He made Moses such over Pharaoh, Exd 7:1.

As a worthy admonition, a man/woman can be referred to as a man/woman of God but such as is refered must know the God that made him/her after His heart, ref 2 Tim 2:19.

Those who strive to be co-equal with God are deemed as striving with their maker. The Bible condemns them, Is 45:9.

Remain co-laborer with God not co-equal

*Remorse corner.*

If Jesus as God, who could be everything He wanted, could subject Himself before God, not thinking of being equal with God, how much more you?

*Call to Word action.*

2 Tim 2:6  *The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.*

If we remain co-laborers with God we shall be first partaker of his blessings

*The Christian clarion duty.*

We are co-laborers with God in His vineyard but we are not co-owners of the vineyard.

We must set boundaries according as set by God of which we must never cross, Numb 20:12. 2 Sam 12:9.

*Prayer*

Lord, help me that l do not go off limits permitted by the Holy Spirit. Let me not strive with my maker, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
