*Scripture Treasure.*

Phlp 2:7 *But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:*

*Insight and Highlight.*

God took up a human nature through Christ (Incarnation).Through Christ, He became man by His outward appearance but was more than man.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

God took the likeness of man. He, who is God, became man, suffered as man, died as man, and was raised to become One with God, Col 1:15-16, 2:9.

2 Cor 5:19 says ,"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, ...."*

By this, it is correct to say that Christ was truly God and truly man.

God emptied Himself in Christ.

Christ made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, He gave up His divine privileges;

He stripped Himself of His heavenly glory, giving us everything that pertains to life.

2 Peter 1:3 *Accordingly, His divine power has given us all things toward life and godliness, through the knowledge of the One having called us by His own glory and excellence,*

Most remarkable is His taking the form of a servant.

Matthew 20:28 *just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."*

God went "broke" on you so that you may be rich unto Him.

What have you done to empty yourself for Him?

*Remorse corner.*

2 Cor 8:9 *For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.*

*Call to Word action.*

John 1:16 *And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

God, in Christ, stripped Himself of His glory to that we may receive of His fulness.

Lord, help me as l serve You. Give me a servant heart in service, in Jesus name.

God bless you.
