CHRIST BLOOD OVER THE FIRST BLOOD (2)
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*CHRIST BLOOD OVER THE FIRST BLOOD (2)*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Romans 16:20 *And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Our joy rests on the confidence that our turmoil and conflict against Satan would give way to our peace.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Yesterday, we looked at Satan and how he drew the first blood. This he did by deceiving Eve, and the consequences were the beginning of many battles between the woman's seed and Satan.
We offered the first tip that could encourage us in our battles against Satan, saying the battles the children of God face in life have already been lost by Satan before they were fought.
Today, we will look at the second tip.
This is that we must know that we are not wasting time fighting the devil.
This is because the bible commands we wrestle against him, Eph 6.
We must invest time in combating Satan, Luke 18:1.
Satan draws his spear and throws his fiery darts, and we must *'.....take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked."*(Eph 6:16).
Time fighting against Satan is time gained for the Lord.
This is why warfare is part of our regular revival or church services.
Warfare also forms an integral part of our daily devotion.
At the garden of Gestamane, Jesus found His disciples asleep and rebuked Peter, asking why they could *.......not watch with me one hour?*, Matt 26:40.
The Christian must know that if he is going to win the battle against a roaring lion who goes about relentlessly evil, then he must be ever battle ready and committed to defeating Satan.
The Kingdom of God is not for people who seldomly pray.
To every Christian, prayer is indispensable. Prayer should not be an option but a compulsion, Luke 18:1, 1 Thess 5:17.
There is power in importunity, persistence, Luke 11:8.
We must insist, with God, on defeating Satan and his agents.
We must be unrelenting and consistent in prayer against Satanic stronghold.
Anytime you do not feel like praying is the time you must pray.
Until we tell Heaven what is required for victory or say 'enough is enough', some mountains may not shift as quickly as we want them (ref Matt 17:20).
Jesus said His disciples could not move mountains because they had little faith.
So, prayer is faith and trust in God.
Be encouraged, though the battle may be fierce, we can live a life free of Satanic oppression, affliction, dominion, if only we can resist Satan!
Engage and dip yourself in the blood of Jesus.
It is Jesus' blood or nothing!
*Remorse corner.*
James 4:7 *Submit yourselves , therefore, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.*
*Call to Word action.*
Whatever is not of God is Satan's.
We must be quick to know the tracks and path of Satan. Even in our own lives and lives of others as elects of God.
Matt 16: 23 *But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Do not romance the devil. Do not be ignorant of him, 2 Cor 2:11. Pray until your joy is full, John 15:11.
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me not to be tired in the place of prayer. Help me to invest quality and rewarding prayer-hour of victory over Satan in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
