CHRIST BLOOD OVER THE FIRST BLOOD (1)
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*CHRIST BLOOD OVER THE FIRST BLOOD. (1)*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Gen 3: 15 *And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Satan drew the 'first blood'. He seemed to be winning, but Christ destroyed it with His shed redemptive blood.
*Scripture Treasure.*
Satan did not shed any blood, but he drew the first blood. He drew the first blood through his first damage.
This he did by inflicting on man a first-bite from the tree of good and knowledge. This brought about unending consequences and scoring what appeared to be a victory for Satan.
This began bloody conflicts on bitter grounds (Cain and Abel Gen 4:8) that marked the beginning of the human race.
Jesus' blood destroyed his first blood.
Jesus' sanctifying blood destroyed the first blood of vengeance and affliction with His blood that speaks better things (Heb 12:24).
The serpent's deception and attack began the battles of life.
Are you faced with insurmountable battles of life?
Be encouraged with the following tips.
First, the battles the children of God face in life have already been lost by Satan before they are fought.
Second, we must invest time in combating Satan.
Third, Satan will suffer, whether or not he succeeds, wining agents to his side. He may look like his agents, the wicked are winning, we must know He has a lot to lose.
Today, we will discuss the first one.
We must be encouraged, assured, and comforted that Satan has lost these battles before he went into them.
Rev 13:8 says the Lamb was *'.....slain from the foundation of the world.*
Our hope rests on the truth that our warfare with Satan will end in victory.
These spiritual warfare will, however , demand a lot of fights from us. It is an everyday battle, Matt 6:34.
One may want to ask why, then do we need to go into a battle that has already been won before we fight them.
This is because God had ordained our participation in the warfare from the beginning, Gen 3:15.
God said Satan will bruise our heels. Another word for the heel grabber, an accuser, backbiter, etc.
God said we will bruise the head of Satan. Bruising any head is another word for a total kill of the being.
Paul sums it up in Rom 16:20 saying
*And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly....."*
The problems that often beset us are our lack of perseverance, over anxiety, impatience, etc, we have in the midst of the war against Satan and his agents.
The spiritual warfare is always fiercely fought because when he drew the first blood, God also drew a battle line between him and the woman's seed, Gen 3.
Adam and Eve could not obey God. Therefore, God, not to say He could not deliver us Himself, would not solely engage in our warfare without us committing ourselves to it, Eph 6:10-18.
We have to ask to receive, knock for Him to open and seek before we could find (Matt 7:7).
Though the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world, the devil is still permitted in this world, Luke10:18, Eph 2:2. He is here with us to make life difficult.
We must counter every blood sucking scheme of Satan with the blood of Jesus.
It is Christ's redemptive blood. No other blood!
*Remorse corner.*
When God drew a battle line between the seed of the woman and the serpent, He must have been saying our participation is needed to fight Satan.
*Call to Word action.*
We were never promised it would be easy. 2 Cor 4:7-8 *We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;*
*Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
God, however, promised us strength and victory in the midst of the battle with Satan (2 Cor 2:11, 2 Cor 12:9, Rev 12:11).
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me to overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of my testimony, in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
