*BEWARE OF GLORY EXCHANGERS*

Genesis 37:23-24 ► *And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him;*
*And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.*
*And they sat down to eat a meal....."*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Becareful of glory stealers, glory exchangers! Glory exchangers give people ashes in exchange for their glory but God gives beauty for ashes.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
How evil and treacherous to see Joseph's brothers sit "to eat meat" yet they cast Joseph into a pit, leaving him there for "dead".
This callous move to eat knowing well there was nothing for Joseph to eat or drink in the pit is not only seen as their feeling of satisfaction over their "successful" plan to finally dispose a promising young man. It is also the highest level of inhumanity against humanity!
They have calculated he would die through painful starvation.
The brothers were premeditated murderers of glory and destiny.
An act of brutality, insensitive to morals was made worse when they stripped him of his beautiful clothes of many colors. Presumably he only has his underwear.
Joseph, beautiful clothes were exchanged for nakedness, glory was exchanged for rags, they thought they had disposed him of his promising dreams but God kept him and he prevailed over his household enemies.
