BEWARE OF ANOTHER GOSPEL(1)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*BEWARE OF ANOTHER GOSPEL ! (1)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Gal 1:8-9 *But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.*

*As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Paul identifies there are other gospels other than the true gospel. Becareful!

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Paul was worried that many would be removed from the true gospel because of wrongful and enticing persuasions.

Gal 1:6 *I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:*

This is especially true of the wrong gospel.

There are many beliefs, and each of them believes in their gospel.

This is why Paul differentiates the gospel of Christ. He knew what the gospel of Christ was, and he referred the others as the *"....other gospel...* Gal 1:8

He cursed himself, and any other angel, if he or any other preached any other gospel other than Jesus'. He said if he did, he was not a servant of God.

The reasons he adduced in Gal 1: 10-12 were:

First, preachers who do such do so that they may please the children of men.

Second, they preach after themselves, bring people to themselves, ref Gal 1:11.

Therefore, Paul admonishes us that we do not only search for the contents but also the preacher.

Third, Paul says these people will trouble us. This means they will not cease to trouble us, Gal 1:6.

It is amazing how quickly people desert Christ and are turning to a different gospel. We must follow Paul's admonition that these gospels are not even the true gospel.

It is clear to us today as in time of old that many are troubled spiritually, and many may have lost their way because they have been corrupted in knowledge of the true God, Gal 1:17

*Remorse corner.*

Gal 1:10-12 *For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.*

*Call to Word action.*

Becareful, there are gospels of men.

Gal 11:11 *But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Sound and transformative gospel is from God, not man.

Gal 1: 12 *For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.*

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me not to be perverted by any other gospel. Let me not be deceived, in Jesus name.

Good morning, all, and be blessed as you go today.

God bless you.
