BE ON GUARD
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*BE ON GUARD.*
1 Pet 5:8-9 *Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:*
*Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
If you are careful to watch and pray, you will not be careless to watch and pray.
The scripture tells us that we, as a family of believers throughout the world, are undergoing a kind of suffering namely: resisting the devil and the continued awareness to remain steadfast, watching when others are "enjoying" life as if there is no devil pursuing them.
Acts 14:22 says *"strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith. "We must endure many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,"*
The believer is called to a life of complete devotion of praying and watching.
The church is not called to "an agreed silence" against the devil but to a declared spiritual warfare against their arch enemy, Satan, ref Acts 12:1-5.
We are sons and daughters of the Prince warrior not a prince "charming".
Isaiah says *"his visage was marred...he was desired of no one...despised and rejected of men,....a man of sorrow...acquainted with grief"*, Isaiah 53:2-4.
The devil is dangling his carrots in order to defeat the careless Christian.
He is pursuing the careful Christian hoping he will become careless so that he may devour him.
No matter how many years one has put into God's service, it does not take the devil a moment to wipe it away.
Watch out for the bait of sin.. Resist it and let the devil know it is not for your taking!
Many had thought they were heavyweights but the devil proved them to be of no weight at all.
*Call to Word action.*
Ephesians 4:27 *Neither give place to the devil.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Watch out for the bait of sin. Be on guard.
Watch and pray!
Lord, help me. Do not let me be a victim of Satan, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and be blessed as you come into His presence.
God bless you.
