*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*ASLEEP, NOT DEAD (2).*
*Scripture Treasure.*
John 11:11 *These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
You are not alone crying over that problem. Jesus weeps along with you.
*Scripture Commentaries*
The second significant thing to remember in Lazarus' situation, which should be enough to teach us the ways of God, is that we should know that a believer's tears are Jesus' tears.
A believer's persecution is Christ's persecution. Jesus feels the pain, and this was the reason why He told Saul that it was He Saul was persecuting, not Stephen or/and the early church, Acts 9:5.
A believer's pain is Christ's pain.
Jesus came in human form to tell us that He is not immune from our suffering.
He wept over Lazarus, John 11:33.
So we must be careful when we conclude that God does not care about what we go through.
If He cares less, He would not be on the right hand of God making intercession for us, Rom 8:34.
You can not interceed for someone you care less about.
Oftentimes, we tell ourselves that it is mere consolation when we comfort ourselves.
Consolation and words of encouragement are serious matters. His death and how He wept over Lazarus' death are more than enough for us to understand God's passion for humankind.
Mary and Martha felt they were rejected by Jesus.
Martha said to Jesus *"......Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died."* John 11:21.
Jesus told her, *".....I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:* John 11:25.
Jesus will declare His divine will for you. His divine will is His declared intention to tell or promise to do what He tells you.
If He says He will wipe away your tears, believe as He has spoken.
Are you despised or rejected?
He once was, and now no one can do without Him. If anyone does, he/she does so at their perils.
Believe God. He is going through it all with you.
*Remorse corner.*
Jesus cares more than you care for yourself, Matt 6:26, 30, 32.
*Call to Word action.*
Jesus is *"......a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief."* Isaiah 53:3.
*The Christian clarion duty.*
You are not alone in your tears.
Your opportunities may be dead, but they are only asleep. Jesus is coming to awake them.
*Prayer.*
Lord, please come to awake my dead opportunities in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
