*Scripture Commentaries.*
God assures us in His words concerning Christ's second coming, and He commands us to remain watchful and to always be ready for Christ's return.
Many, if not all, wish to know when Christ will come.
Jesus did not know because He was in the flesh (in human form), Mark 13:32. No man can know. No man, after the manner of man, born of a woman, who sleeps and slumbers, who is hungry and fed, etc, laden with sin but now delivered will ever know this Divine role and appointment of Christ's second coming.
However, by Divinity and being totally God with no form of human because He is now glorified (ref John 7:39), Jesus knows.
This is also so because He and His Father are one, John 10:31.
The Trinity is God in three persons. None is God without the others. Each with the others is God.
None in the Trinity is excluded in the knowledge of Christ's second coming.
They equally know the day and hour of this end time event.
Jesus, in human nature, did not know, but as the risen Christ, having shed humanity in human nature and body, and glorified as God, He knows.
This is a hidden depth of the Trinity in the counsel of Jesus to a sinful generation (ref Deut 29:29).
This is also explained when Paul said that Jesus in the flesh and human form *"being in the form of God . . . made Himself of no reputation" (He emptied Himself), "and took upon Him the form of a servant."* (Philippians 2:6-7)
Jesus was God's incarnate, fully man, and fully God. Limited as man but full of God. Died as children of men would die but raised up by Divine power of God to forever be God, Acts 2:24-25.
The reason why Christ as human, though He knew all things, but was not made to make known to us, may also be seen in the reason that if the children of men know when Christ will come, they would negotiate the time and hour.
Furthermore, if salvation were not made free, man would negotiate it with whatever they possess in return for it
These may be why no one will ever know when Jesus will come.
He will come like *'...a thief in the night....'*, Rev 3:3, 16:15.
So God wants us to prepare ourselves hour by hour. We must live every day with the fear of God.
Make yourself ready for Christ's second coming!
