ARE YOU HOLY?
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.,*
*ARE YOU HOLY?*
*Scripture Treasure.*
1 Peter 1:16 *Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
A holy God cannot tolerate any form of sin in His people and His holiness requires Him to punish sin.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
God is holy and He requires His children to be holy in all their ways.
Many are egoistic and flippant on their escapades in sin. They make light of it in every way. Sin brings shame but they are unashamed.
God takes His holiness very seriously, and so should we.
The trend in the modern church is to represent God in our own image, worship Him in our own way and giving Him the attributes we would like Him to have instead of the ones His Word describes.
We must be careful and so must avoid distortion of the concept of God by the demands of our environment or their paganistic culture.
Remember blessings or curses would accompany either the keeping or neglect of God’s commandments.
In the Levitical order cleansing and an atonement was done once a year, Exd 30:10, Heb 10:1.
This means holiness was imparted temporarily until another year of atonement.
Christ's atonement for holiness, however, was absolute on the day you gave your life to Him, Heb 7:27.
On that day, your sin was exchanged for the righteousness and holiness of God, 2 Cor 5:21.
If you truly did give your life to Jesus, you will daily recall that day of salvation.
God still judges sin. Flee youthful lusts, 2 Tim 2:22.
If God has not judged you for your flagrant abuse of His holiness, it is because He is giving you time to amend your ways, 2 Pet 3:9.
Change from your evil and sinful ways. God is watching you but it is better He watches over you.
Repent today!
If we respond to reason with Him and confess our sins *".....he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness*.(1 John 1:9)
Are you holy?
*Remorse corner.*
Daily, walk in the Light and put away every darkness in your life. It is the only way you will be pleasing in Christ's sight.
*Call to Word action.*
Hebrews 10:19 *Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
A holy child of God can stand before a Holy God with boldness because Christ sees in him the righteousness of Christ.
*Prayer.*
Lord, cleanse me from all unrighteousness and impute in me Your righteousness, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day today.
God bless you.
