*I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.*
*Insight and Highlight* ►
The world is dark and is a battle ground where evils occur. Our protection lies in the name of the Lord - Jesus Christ.
*Scripture Commentaries* ►
What is the secret place of the Most High?
The secret place of the Most High refers to the place of protection, a place of safety. Psalm 91 strikes a chord with two scriptures:
First, Prov 18:10 ► *The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe*
Second, Apostle Paul may be speaking in the same breath with Psalm 91 when he revealed the forces behind the evils mentioned in Psam 91. He described the situation as a war against the forces of evil and spiritual wickedness.
Eph 6:12 ► *For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places*
Paul's revelation tells us that our true protection against
1) the “terror by night“,
2) the ”arrow that flieth by night“,
3) the “pestilence“, and
4) the “destruction“.
lies in our resolve to live in the fortress of God's word.
The name of the Lord is our protection and dwelling in His presence is God's counsel for us if we are to defeat satan.
Are you calling the name Jesus. Are you dwelling in His secret place?
