ARE YOU A FAITHFUL MAN
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*ARE YOU A FAITHFUL MAN?*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Proverbs 6:32-35
*But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.*
*A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.*
*For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.*
*He will not regard any ransom; neither will he rest content, though thou givest many gifts*

Proverbs 6:29 *So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.*
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Job made one of the most terse statements ever recorded of a man who had so much confidence in his own fidelity.
He was so sure of his fidelity, he could attest to it. A confidence so sure that he placed a curse on himself if he ever violated it.
He says in Job 31:8-9 *If my heart has been enticed by a woman, or if I have lurked at my neighbor’s door,*
*then may my wife grind another man’s grain, and may other men sleep with her.*
Can you say this as a man?
He had earlier said *I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?* Job 31:1.
Most often, people who made covenants with God do place a curse-like expression on themselves in order to check and curb their excesses, if ever there is one lurking to tempt them.
Godly and God fearing people set boundaries.
Whatever you will not wish for your wife, do not do it to other women.
Job was implying in Job 31:9 that if you treat other women badly, your woman will be treated badly by someone else.
Whatever goes around comes around.
Do you love your wife? Protect her by protecting your fidelity.
If you are a woman and your man is unfaithful, pray now so that God will not judge you as He judged the wives of David over his adultery with Bathsheba, ref 2 Sam 12:11.
Women, remain chaste and faithful in the midst of your man's infidelity.
If you remain in the Lord, He will spare you of judgment ref Ezk 18:20.
The sins which followed David through Absalom were worse than David's sin which prepared the way. A son violating his father's wives was the greatest insult to a father and it was in the open, 2 Sam 16:22.
As is often the case, God's judgment which follows sins are worse than the sins which prepared the way, 2 Sam 12:9-12.
Are you a faithful man?
As a faithful woman, are you praying for him and to God to avert God's reprisal judgment on the family?
Pray today!

2 Sam 12:11-12 *Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.*
*For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.*

Hebrews 13:4 *Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.*
1 Cor 6:18 *Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.*
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me to walk in the Spirit. Do not let me fulfil the lust of the flesh, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day today.
God bless you.
