*Scripture Treasure.*

Exodus 7:1 *And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Anointing makes a man of God, a God of man.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

In continuation of our look at anointing, today we will further look at three reasons that explain the exploits of Elisha's dead body that rose the dead.

First, the story teaches us that anointing can work or do its work on a person, though he will not walk in the anointing.

This tells us that there are two ways anointing could work, anointing to do exploits and anointing for relief: a form of deliverance through the removal of sickness, pain, distress, and oppression

The man revived by the anointing in the spirit of Elisha must have gone away to his normal life but was not recorded as a recipient of the miracle to perform exploits in ministry.

The woman with the issue of blood was a recipient of the works of the Anointed Jesus yet was not to walk in the office of the anointed for service.

Elisha walked in both classes of anointing. He anointed Jehu, 2 Kgs 9, and he delivered people removing them from oppression.

Second, anointing makes a mere man to be a man of God, 1 Kgs 19:19-21. Anointing makes a man of God become a God of man, Exd 7:1.

In biblical description deserving a commemorative epitaph, Moses was spoken of as *"......the servant of God...."*, Deut 34:5.

He was referred to as the man of God in Deut 33:1.

Deut 34: 10 says *"......there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,.* This was because of the *"......signs and the wonders, which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt ....."*, Deut 34:11.

The power of God in Moses' life has its foundation on God's declaring him *' a god to Pharaoh..."*.

With this divine proclamation on him, the mandate and strength to enforce God's command on Pharaoh as the wonder-working, supernatural God in human flesh was upon him.

For Pharaoh, to refuse Moses was to refuse God. To refuse God was to face

*".......certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.*, Heb 10:27.

This fiery judgment was exactly what Pharaoh received from God through Moses.

Third, if we that are beneficiaries of an anointing do not take advantage of it, it could be taken up by the unknown, ref Matt 15:27.

We must remember that anointing flows like a river.

It is likened to an angel who *'.....went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had,* John 5:4.

Do not let the power of the anointing by pass you!

*Remorse corner.*

The anointed of God leaves no stone unturned. There is no exploit or deliverance beyond him, Dan 11:32, Acts 5:5, 10:38.

*Call to Word action.*

1 Sam 10: 1- 7 *Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said,.....'*

*'......And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

The anointed is equipped both to anoint to do divine exploits and to deliver Luke 4:18.

Lord, anoint me to do all-round exploits for You in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
