*A WILLING HEART (2)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Psalm 51:10 *Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Negative emotions weigh us down. We must, however, pray God to give us a willing heart to please Him.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

There is a saying that goes 'If there is a will, there is a way'.

Willingness to do something is from the heart of determination.

In yesterday's edition, it was mentioned that there are two ways we can have a willing heart.

First was that God leaves to our discretion to choose a willing heart. This was discussed.

Today, we will look at how God can create in us a clean and willing heart.

We must know that a person could have a willing heart to do something but may not achieve it except God helps him, Prov 16:9.

Natural disasters, depression, and disappointment can impact a willing mind if God does not intervene.

So, as much as a good choice to have a willing mind is good, God is ultimate and supreme to back our willing minds.

When we are depressed, discouraged, and disappointed, we need God, or else we could miss out.

Jacob was on the run from Esau. The sun was set upon him, Gen 28:11.

Sunset, spiritually, means a period of decline.

Jacob, in a state of confusion, dread, and fear, did not know God was where he was.

Rather than God to allow him to miss out on the day of His power, he fell asleep, and God had an encounter with him.

Genesis 28:16 *And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.*

His willing heart to walk with God is evident by this encounter.

It seemed Jacob may be thinking God had left him following his deception.

God, however, visited him, and he immediately responded when he poured oil on the pillar he had set on the stone he used for a pillow, Gen 28:18-20.

It further shows us that we still need to respond to God following His encounter with us.

Jacob further responded by the vow he vowed, Gen 28:20, and his promise and willingness to give God one-tenth, Gen 28:22.

*Remorse corner.*

We can allow God to create in us a clean and willing heart. When He does, we will have a sustainable base to support our willingness.

*Call to Word action.*

Ephesians 5:14 *Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

God can help you overcome when He renews your mind.

*Prayer.*

Lord, touch me, renew me, and give me a willing heart to serve you, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
