A LIFE INVESTMENT

*WISDOM FOR TODAY*

*A LIFE INVESTMENT....*

*Scripture Treasure.*

John 19:25-27 *Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.*

*When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!*

*Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour, that disciple took her unto his own home.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Being there for people when they need you is a life investment.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

The story of Jesus, John and Mary, Jesus's mother at Golgotha, is the epitome of their sympathy for Jesus. It is founded on their feeling for their common loss for and with Jesus. Their presence in this difficult time for Jesus is also an expression of their common interest of love for each other.

Amongst them was a disciple, believed to be John, who is fondly known as an apostle of love. This should tell us why the epistle of love was given and trusted to him, John 3:16, 15:12-13, 17, 19, 1 John 1:7–9; 2:1–2; 3:5–8, 16; 5:11–13,etc.

John at Golgotha shows us that a loving heart will step out in order to find, as well as give, sympathize, and support.

Though Jesus did not need sympathy as any mortal in dire need in His position would need but the presence of these sympathizers at Golgotha was remarkable. It serves as a lesson for us all to value being there for people who are down and helpless.

Being there for people when they need you most may be a life investment they will never forget when they regain their stands.

Some people may not be privileged to be at the grand celebration of other people not because they are not alive but because they were never part of the celebrants' stories in the first place.

This is not to be seen as getting back at you for the wrong you did to them but it is just a way of saying that you were never there when they were crying, so what would their joy today mean to you?

Come to think of it, even if you are opportune to be at their celebrations in the future, their joy can not make much sense to you because you never added value to their past.

How many people have you put smiles on their faces when they need you most?

*Remorse corner.*

To be there for someone who is crying, mourning, or in desperate needs today is an investment that will not fail to yield rewards from God.

It is an investment that does not fail.

*Call to Word action.*

Romans 12:15, *Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Do not behave it is none of your business to help or emphatize.

*Prayer.*

Galatians 6:2 *Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.*

Lord, help me in order to help others in Jesus name.

Good morning, all, and be blessed as you come into His presence.

God bless you.
