HELL.
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*HELL.*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Matthew 25:41 *Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Life is short, and eternity is long.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Hell is everlasting fire.
Both Heaven and hell are everlasting and are eternal destinations.
Both are created by God. He reserved hell for the devil, Matt 25:11, while Heaven is eternal rest with God.
The pains of hell are severe, and it will not end.
The bible teaches concerning those who end up in hell.
First. there will be gnashing of teeth, Luke 13:28 *There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth,....*
Second, there can be no reconsideration or reversal to Heaven.
The rich man and Lazarus. The rich man went to hell while Lazarus was in Abraham's bosom (Heaven). The rich man requested to reach out to Lazarus, but he was told in Lk 16:26
*And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.*
The dead are good as dead. Solomon says in Eccl 9:5 *For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.*
The spirit of the dead has gone back to God, Eccl 12:7 *Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.*
Third, they can not receive forgiveness again because they can not confess Jesus with their mouths again, and their hearts can no longer believe Rom 10:9.
The dead know nothing again. Their cases are finally closed on earth.
We only must know that death is an appointment, Heb 9:27.
There can be no prayer asking God to forgive a dead person or to grant him/her eternal rest.
How do you say a prayer to God to grant a dead person eternal rest with Jesus when he/she did not accept or acknowledge His Lordship here on earth when he/she was living?
It is like asking God to honor someone who never honored Him, someone who denied His free gift of salvation, while he/she lived? It does not work this way!
Matthew 10:32 says, *Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.*
The story of Lazarus and the rich man tells us that people who are in hell could regret they did not know Jesus and would wish the followers they had deceived would change and accept the gospel of Jesus, Luke 16: 19-26.
The time of a person is past at death.
At death, it would be a matter of whether *".......he is comforted,..."* or *".....tormented.* eternally, Luke 19:25.
Would you rather not be comforted eternally than tormented?
Accept Jesus now, today!
*Remorse corner.*
If you do not want to spend eternity in hell, you can help yourself by confessing Jesus today! It is as serious as this.
*Call to Word action.*
Jesus says in Matthew 10:33 *But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
John 3:18 *He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.*
*Prayer.*
Lord, please do not let me end up in hell fire, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day today.
God bless you.
